About this event
🚨 Join Us to Hold Subway Accountable for Broken Promises! 📍 910 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 🕦 Sunday, June 16th at 11:30 AM For years, Subway promised its customers it would stop using eggs from cruel battery cages by 2025. With that deadline fast approaching, they’re staying silent — and we’re speaking up. It’s time to show Subway that Philly won’t stay quiet while animals suffer behind closed doors. Join The Humane League and our incredible Philadelphia Team, led by Captain Joshua, for a powerful, community-driven protest demanding transparency and real progress for animals. We'll bring the signs and leaflets — you bring your voice and your compassion. 💥 Whether you're a seasoned activist or just curious about how to take a stand for animals, this is your moment. We’ll be loud, proud, and united as changemakers, showing Subway — and the public — that broken promises have consequences. ✨ Business casual is encouraged, but come as you are. We’ll have everything you need to make an impact.
🧺 Stick Around for a Post-Protest Lunch Picnic! After the protest, we’ll head to Independence National Historical Park to relax, connect, and enjoy a delicious meal together. We’re supporting Luvh Vegan Deli, a local Black-owned vegan spot just around the corner. 🍽️ Here’s the plan: - The first 5 people to RSVP for lunch will get their meal covered — our treat! - Everyone else is welcome to order during the protest, and Sydney will pick up the food and meet us at the park. - Captain Joshua will walk the group to the park after we wrap up the protest. - Prefer to bring your own lunch? Totally welcome! It’s a great chance to wind down and build community with fellow changemakers. 🧡
