Pigeons are our Friends

Carla Marie Mariani and I (aka Justice Seekers) are thrilled to invite you to a very special event on **Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at 1:00 PM** at the Philadelphia Free Library! 📚🎨 We're teaming up with our dear friend Zipora Schulz and Public Eye: Artists for Animals, a Philly-based organization that teaches compassion for animals through the visual and performing arts. Together, we’ll kick off what we hope will become a regular series of fun, educational, and heartfelt events for children focused on animals that are too often misunderstood. ✨ This first event is all about... PIGEONS! That’s right — the sweet, smart, and often unfairly judged birds that live all around us. Kids (and grown-ups!) will get to learn the truth about these gentle city dwellers, bust myths, and discover why pigeons are actually incredible companions in our urban ecosystem. 🎶 We’ll also be debuting our brand-new song: “Pigeons Are Our Friends!” Other artists will join us for story time and art work that uplift and celebrate this amazing bird we’ve been taught to fear — but who deserves our love and respect. 💗 This is a kid-centered event with music, art, and learning.
