About this event
Please join us on Tuesday, April 29th from 6:30 to 9 pm, for this film screening and talk-back to celebrate Earth Month. This event is in collaboration with Plant Powered Metro New York (PPMNY) and the Green Feather Foundation. It is a pay-what-you-can event and the price range is from $0 to $25 with part of the proceeds benefitting PPMNY.
The food we eat has the power to shape the future of our planet. This Earth Month, join us for a special community screening of Eating for Tomorrow, the 2021 documentary narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet.
From the depths of the Amazon rainforest to the windswept Scottish coastlines, Eating for Tomorrow takes viewers on a breathtaking journey across the globe, exposing the environmental consequences of our food choices. Through powerful storytelling — from indigenous voices on the frontlines of climate change to world-renowned scientists and global thought leaders — this eye-opening film uncovers urgent truths while offering a message of hope and empowerment.
After the screening, stay for an engaging talk-back moderated by PPMNY’s Wendy Sax, featuring vegan activist Saurabh Dalal and another TBD individual. Together, we’ll explore practical steps to create a more sustainable food system — for ourselves, our communities, and future generations.
