About this event

Join activists in protesting animal abuse at the Jordan World Circus! After being cited for abusive practices several times, Jordan World decided to hire outside exhibitors for their animal acts to avoid further citations and accountability. The Carson & Barnes Circus has supplied elephants for Jordan World Circus in recent years despite having a history of animal welfare issues. Video footage shows a Carson & Barnes trainer cursing and yelling at elephants outside a Jordan World Circus show. A PETA investigation found that two elderly elephants exhibited by Carson & Barnes were showing signs of painful foot and joint problems, which are among the leading reasons captive elephants are euthanized. Jordan World Circus has been forcing them to perform and give rides day in and day out during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The circus’s longtime big-cat supplier, Adam Burck, was cited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for keeping tigers inside a hot, stinking barn crawling with maggots and using cramped travel cages as the tigers’ permanent housing for over a year. This event is in response to Jordan World’s abuse. We will be holding signs, passing out leaflets, and using a megaphone to inform the public of Jordan Worlds history of animal exploitation. The relevant circus start times are at 4pm and 7:30 pm on March 28th and 6pm on the 29th. This event will stretch across both events on the 28th with a break in between and the night event on the 29th to address the Saturday night crowd. Please dress sharp for a professional protest. Organizers will bring all necessary materials.
