VSDC Book Club discusses “The Last Animal”

Please join the Veg Society of DC Book Club discussion of “The Last Animal” by Ramona Ausubel. This meeting will take place online, via zoom. “Vera and Eve, were 11 and 14 when their father plunged to his death ... As the novel opens, a year later, their mom has dragged them to Siberia, where scientists are searching for woolly mammoth bones in service of a theory that bringing back certain extinct species could help reverse climate change.” — Kirkus Reviews starred review To participate you must read at least half the book — and RSVP at least two days before the meeting. People who RSVP yes will get the details to join the discussion (the weekend before the meeting). The details will not be posted on meetup. The VSDC Book Club began meeting online in March 2020 (previously we met in vegetarian restaurants in DC or nearby Maryland or Virginia). We read fiction and nonfiction in alternating months, about any topic.
