About this event
Local restaurants and retailers are falling behind on their promises to improve welfare standards for hens. These companies need to report meaningful progress toward ending some of the most extreme forms of abuse faced by animals raised for food. Commitments from major companies have the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life for millions of animals - but only if they actually make the changes they have committed to! Join us at Parlor Public House for an action meetup! We will socialize, chat about our local campaign target(s), and write postcards to decision makers at their outdated and inhumane policies, urging them to stop this abuse. Let's hold these companies accountable! Post card writing supplies will be provided. This event is at a bar, but they don't offer much food. If you're new to the group, just look for the people wearing black and grey The Humane League T shirts, and come join us! ๐๐ฎ๐ท By attending this and any other The Humane League event, you agree to adhere to The Humane League's Safer Spaces Policy. Thank you for creating an uplifting and supportive space for all activists in our community! The Humane League exists to end the abuse of animals raised for food by influencing the policies of the worldโs biggest companies, demanding legislation, and empowering others to take action and leave animals off their plates.
