About this event

Join us on March 6th at 1pm EST, as we welcome Eric Mills. Eric is a veteran animal rights activist and the founder of Action for Animals. His passion for animal welfare began in childhood, growing up on his grandparents' farm and becoming an avid birdwatcher. After working with organizations like the Sierra Club and Greenpeace, he found his calling advocating for the humane treatment of animals used in rodeos. Witnessing firsthand the injuries and distress these animals experienced, Mills became a relentless force for change, drafting and lobbying for legislation to regulate rodeo practices in California. Mills' direct action tactics, such as protests and inflatable kangaroos on capitol steps, have earned him both admiration and criticism. However, his impact is undeniable. He has been instrumental in passing numerous laws to protect rodeo animals, including bans on horse-tripping and the requirement for on-site veterinarians.
