Movie Night at The Lab - The Invisible Vegan

Movie Night at the Lab! Wishbone Animal Rights Lab and We The Free are teaming up once again, this time to bring you "The Invisible Vegan". Invite your non-vegan friends, family, and co-workers! Jasmine Leyva both directs and stars in this eye-opening documentary that explores the issue of unhealthy dietary patterns in the African-American community. Featuring interviews with Cedric the Entertainer, John Salley, and Stic of the hip-hop duo Dead Prez, this documentary shows how intertwined histories of slavery, 20th-century socioeconomic inequalities, and the rise of Big Food, have led to the increased consumption and dependence on meat, processed, junk, and fast food. The Lab is a default-vegan space, so all outside food must be plant-based. Animal-friendly snacks are available at the concession stand.
