Veggie Mijas Book Club February Event

Join the Veggie Mijxs Book Club on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 3PM ET to discuss this month’s read “The Message” by: Ta-Nehisi Coates. This book talks about the power of journalism and the author talks about his personal experiences from visits to Africa, South Carolina, and Palestine. This thought-provoking work draws parallels to systems of oppression in Palestine, apartheid, colonialism, and Jim Crow laws. It is full of information and reflections that makes it easy to understand how pervasive racism is in the world and its impact on society. This is a BIPOC-centered virtual event open to all cities.
