About this event
Please join NARN and PETA as we leaflet to urge the University of Massachusetts-Amherst to ditch cruel and painful tests on marmoset monkeys. University experimenters have drilled holes into the skulls of small marmosets, threaded electrode leads through their abdomens, zip-tied them into restraining devices, and overheated them with hand warmers to simulate hot flashes associated with menopause—which they don’t even experience naturally. UMass-Amherst will be holding an event in Seattle to discuss how their research, technological approaches, and solutions to pressing problems are helping to improve the quality of life for all. This is the perfect time to leaflet attendees to show them what is happening and to encourage them to take action to help shut down the monkey laboratory.
