About this event
Virtual Documentary Night is a monthly online event hosted by Community Documentary Night. It is designed to give people the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics with people from various backgrounds. This event is in collaboration with Georgia Animal Rights and Protection (GARP) and the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade USA (CAFT USA). GARP is a Georgia based nonprofit organization dedicated to the abolition of animal exploitation and suffering. CAFT USA is a grassroots animal rights organization fighting to forever end the killing of animals for their fur. For this Special Virtual Documentary Night, in honor of Veganuary, we are meeting to talk about the documentary, Slay. Investigative filmmaker Rebecca Cappelli exposes the harrowing truth behind the use of fur, leather, and wool in the luxury fashion industry. Emma Håkansson will be joining us for a special guest Q&A!
