Protest Whole Foods and Crumbl Cookies for Failing Chickens!
Organized by Mercy For Animals and The Humane League
Date and time
Saturday | October 26 2024 | 1:00 pm
About this event
Join Mercy For Animals Chicago volunteers to demand that Whole Foods stop sourcing Frankenchickens—birds selectively bred to grow monstrously large unnaturally fast.
We are working hard to expose the truth behind the chicken industry’s continued use of Frankenchickens and to pressure Whole Foods, who pledged to stop sourcing them by 2024, to keep their promise and publish a plan for banning Frankenchickens from their supply chain. Learn more about the campaign here: https://frankenchickens.com/
We will be at the Whole Foods located at 255 E Grand Ave on Saturday, October 26 at 12 pm to inform the public about this issue and hold them accountable to their promise. We will have a banner, signs, and leaflets to use the day of. Come with yourself and bonus if you can bring a friend!
At around 1 pm we will walk over to the Crumbl Cookies at 333 N Michigan Ave (.5 miles) and hold a second protest with The Humane League to demand they switch to cage-free eggs.
