About this event

As we transition from the warmth of summer to the crisp days of fall, we invite you to join us in celebrating the Fall Equinox with community, food, and intentionality. The Fall Equinox marks a moment of balance between day and night, and it’s a perfect time to honor the season’s energy of release, reflection, and preparation for the colder months ahead. At this outdoor gathering, Kari (our co-organizer and herbalism apprentice) will briefly share about the significance of the Fall Equinox and introduce herbs that can support us during this time, with a special focus on the lungs and large intestines. Since most of the herbs discussed will be culinary specific herbs, we encourage you to bring a vegan dish incorporating your favorite herbs/spices or a dish that reminds you of fall (not required). This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the final warm days of the year in Chicago, connect with others, and savor the fruits of the season through a potluck in the park.
