WTF Free Paul Watson Demonstration | Copenhagen, Denmark | 3rd September, 2024

NOTE: The event lasts for 6 hours to give everyone the possibility to pop up even for 5 minutes to give their support to Captain Paul Watson. Even for 5 minutes your presence can make a difference. (See the detailed schedule below ). If you feel moved to do so, bring flowers , notes or drawings or anything that you feel inspired to bring. We will take a picture of all the offerings and we will send them to Paul to remind him that he is not alone. On July 21 2024, Captain Paul Watson was arrested by Danish police upon arrival in Nuuk, Greenland, onboard the M/Y John Paul DeJoria. Danish authorities claim that the arrest was made due to an international arrest warrant issued by Japan, related to his anti-whaling campaigns in the Antarctic more than a decade ago. Paul faces the possibility of extradition to Japan, where he could spend the rest of his life in prison. Very soon Denmark will decide whether to release or to extradite Captain Paul Watson. It may happen as soon as the 4th of September. So, on the 3rd of September from 10:00 to 16:00 we will meet in front of the Ministry of Justice in Copenhaguen (Slotsholmsgade 10, 1216 København, Denmark) to demand Captain Paul Watson to be released. We will read a communication and then we will march to the Japanese Embassy (Havneholmen 25, 1561 København, Denmark) were we will read another communication (for details of the schedule see below). Supporting Captain Paul Watson means not only supporting a person that has dedicated his life to defending the seas but also standing up for all the stewards of life in this planet that are defiying the powers that seek to silence them.
