Meet Dr. Chapman Chen, Vegan Theology

Please join us on August 15th at 1 pm EST, as we welcome Dr. Chapman Chen. Dr. Chen is a seasoned academic, translator, and dedicated vegan activist. With a Ph.D. in Literature, M.A. in Translation, and B.A. in English, he has spent over three decades immersed in the world of language and academia. His extensive experience includes teaching translation at prestigious institutions like the University of Birmingham, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Ming Chuan University, and contributing to the scholarly community through 30 published academic articles, two dictionaries, two books, and five book-length translations. A passionate advocate for animal rights, Dr. Chen has been a vegetarian for 26 years and a vegan for 16. His commitment to the cause is evident in his role as a trustee of a major vegan charity and as the founder of the FB Group Vegan Theology (純素神學), HKBNews, and Local Press. Currently based in the U.K., Dr. Chen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his various endeavors.
