NYC: Plant Powered Carbon Challenge with the Mayor's Office!

About this event Are you ready to stand with the Mayor as a leader in NYC's ambitious efforts to curb carbon emissions and address climate change? 🤔 These are the questions we will pose in our outreach inviting NYC institutions to join the Plant-Powered Carbon Challenge. 🌿 This initiative encourages a partnership between any NYC organization with a food service component and the NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy to draw down carbon emissions and build a more sustainable food system in New York City. 🗽 What to Expect at this Event: 👩🏽 🗣️ Neeti Jain, Strategic Partnerships Advisor at NYC Mayor’s Office of Food Policy will present the challenge to THL Changemakers, including eligibility, challenge summary, challenge benefits, and current progress on the initiative. 👨🏿 🧠 Cyrus Clarke, THL Changemaker, will lead a brainstorm session on how to build a team that will work in partnership with the Neeti's office to procure more sign ons in this important veg advocacy policy work. ⚖️ This event is for you if you're interested in policy, veg advocacy, and building relationships with local community members and institutions. All are welcome. 🍕🍪 Free plant-based food, as well as all materials will be provided.
