About this event
We are hitting the streets to show up for all animals this Friday June 7 at 7:00pm.
We will be displaying factory farm footage to bystanders. We believe this is effective because "we can't change what we can't see," and this is a way to put windows on slaughterhouses. They operate in secret, away from the public, and use false advertising to promote animal products. This tactic is to expose them. Outreachers will promote a plant based lifestyle and offer tools for successfully transitioning.
We will also be protesting Dior's continued use of fur. Fur is a heinously cruel textile with emissions higher than any other clothing. We are a part of an international campaign to abolish the fur trade. We know this is working because there has been a 54% reduction in fur farms across the US in the last 5 years. With the latest announcement by Marc Jacobs to go fur free on 6/2/24, it is imperative that we keep the pressure on other Louis Vuitton brands until the entire conglomerate is fur free.
As a group we will go out to dinner afterwards!
Signs included. Please do not wear clothing with verbiage on it. Dress casual but respectable. Silent and speaking roles available.
