Inverness National Animal Rights Day 2024

At 10.30AM a peaceful memorial will be held on Inverness high street, outside the Eastgate entrance near Stephen's Street This memorial is held to commemorate the unthinkable number of animal lives that have been lost to human cruelty, greed and tragedy We welcome the public to join us in the phrase "we remember them," after each animal's story, and for those who wish to take part in the memorial, we welcome you to reach out to us at @greenhearthighland in advance Following this memorial, a silent walk of compassion will follow up Stephen's Street to the garden's of Inverness Creative Academy, where time of reflection is encouraged Following this, from 12 Noon @GreenHeartHighland will be independently hosting a beautifully curated market and pop up cafe featuring local vendors, practitioners and experts where all goods and services on offer will be entirely cruelty free, in a celebration of the progress made and steps continually being taken towards ending the suffering of animals and bringing forth their freedom In this space you will also find access to free activities such as arts and crafts and grow your own, making it an outing for all of the family, included your four legged companions! More information about our vendors can be found on the dedicated market event page After the market and pop up cafe wind down at 3.30PM, you can join us at 4.45PM at the North side of Greig Street Bridge for our annual Final Tribute - A release of biodegradable confetti hearts released, as a final moment of memorial and reflection for the animals having lost their lives due to human cruelty and greed, you may also like to use this moment to reflect upon and memorialise your beloved animal companions no longer with us Welcome to NARD 14!
