VSDC Book Club discusses “The Grammarians” (online)

Please join the Veg Society of DC Book Club discussion of “The Grammarians” by Cathleen Schine. This meeting will take place online, via zoom. Laurel and Daphne are identical twins who share an obsession with words. They speak a secret twin tongue as toddlers. As adults in 1980s Manhattan, their verbal infatuation continues, but instead of binding them together, it begins to push them apart. To participate you must read at least half the book — and RSVP at least two days before the meeting. People who RSVP yes will get the details to join the discussion (the weekend before the meeting). The details will not be posted on meetup. The VSDC Book Club began meeting online in March 2020 (previously we met in vegetarian restaurants in DC or nearby Maryland or Virginia). We read fiction and nonfiction in alternating months, about any topic.
