Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning peer support meeting: Evidence Reviews

In May’s free Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning meeting we’ll have a Q&A with Björn Ólafsson, Research Liaison at Faunalytics, about conducting low-cost and informative evidence reviews. Oftentimes, another organization has already asked some of the most important questions related to your intervention. Even if you’re the first person to pilot a new tactic, there is often still plenty of related evidence you can use to strengthen your understanding of how your intervention may succeed or fail. Conducting a thorough (and maybe even creative) evidence review can help you answer your questions without the need to experiment and collect new data yourself! ​As the Research Liaison for Faunalytics, Björn is uniquely placed to help animal advocates locate and understand the existing evidence relevant to their work. We will be hosting a Q&A session on topics related to: ​How evidence reviews can be helpful, and ​How to conduct an evidence review at the lowest possible cost to you! ​In order to help Bjorn prepare as much as possible, please submit any questions you have using this Google form, that would be great! Every month The Mission Motor organizes discussions and lectures on Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning for animal and vegan advocacy charities. We talk about challenges, share knowledge, and develop a community around MEL-related topics specifically to helping animals. After each session, we will share the presentation and a recap of the discussion in #s-mel channel of IAA Slack. The sessions are not recorded to create a safe space for sharing and asking questions.
