Tasty Tofu Cook-Off

Join us at our Tasty Tofu Cook-Off fundraiser event on Saturday May 11th, from noon until 2:00 PM at the Minnehaha Masonic Lodge #165 in Minneapolis (5147 Bloomington Ave S)! We’re bringing together 12 contestants to show just how delicious and versatile tofu can be. (To compete - see below.) For $1 per sample you can try as many dishes as you’d like and then cast a vote for your favorite. The event is first come, first served until the samples run out, so it's best to come early! We will also have 3 judges voting for their favorite dish. The excitement doesn’t end there! We will have giveaways, an area to take photos with fun props, and a tofu carving contest. We will also have some items from our all-vegan shop, Ethique Nouveau, available for purchase. Free beverages will be provided. We encourage you to bring a friend who has never tried tofu or someone who has claimed they don’t like tofu. The proceeds from this event will benefit our animal advocacy work. CONTESTANTS: - We have 12 spots available - Dish must be vegan (no eggs, dairy, honey, etc.) - Dish must contain tofu, can be sweet or savory - Recipe should be original and not published - $25 fee to reserve spot and will be refunded the day of event (if this is an issue, please let us know) - Quantity - it's recommended to make two full, 9"x13" pans or two full crockpots. Samples will be given in 1 oz. portions Contestants will receive a $25 gift certificate to our all-vegan shop, Ethique Nouveau.
