About this event

For a more compassionate and sustainable world, it's vital to move the public's food choices towards more plant-based eating WITHOUT causing a mass meltdown with meat-eaters. That's where the concept of "plant-based by default" comes in... It's about making plant-based meals the featured choice for events and in dining spaces while still giving people the choice to specially opt into non-vegan choices. Greener by Default CEO Katie Cantrell joins us for this AJA Lunchtime Live to discuss why this behavioral science strategy has proven to be so dramatically effective in the shift to more plant-based eating. She'll share some great successes her group has had in helping institutions like hospitals, universities, and corporations move plant-forward including being a part of the team that brought a default veg program to NYC hospitals! We'll also look at the variety of ways to apply the default nudge to get more vegan options into the places we care about.
