Central Texas Pig Enchanted Forest Tour & Volunteer Day

Saturday, February 10 Combination Tour/Volunteer Workday Meet pigs, tour the Enchanted Pig Forest and help out with chores at CTPR for the day! You'll get up close and personal with our residents to give lots of belly rubs, hear rescue stories, learn about how we care for over 200 pig residents as a volunteer team, and you'll learn about the intelligence and joy of pigs! You’ll also be performing light chores right alongside the pigs, and will have tons of opportunities to give them love and belly rubs! This event involves lots of walking across our large, forested property! All terrain is dirt, grass, or mud. If you or anyone in your party has any mobility needs or need special accommodations to comfortably enjoy your visit please email us at volunteer@centraltexaspigs.org ahead of time. Treats for Pigs: Acceptable snacks for pigs include: pumpkins, watermelon, apples, carrots, cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, strawberries, celery and bananas. Please check with a CTPR team member before passing out snacks. Please avoid: stonefruits, avocados, or any fruits/veggies with a pit. Please do not bring foods with added salt. Please also do not bring potatoes. Please remove all labels and stickers from produce, and please avoid bringing single-use plastic on site as bags can easily get lost and are a hazard to our free-roaming donkeys and goats.
