About this event
While legal reforms extend beyond the exclusive realm of attorneys, our unique positioning, marked by expertise and education, allows us to comprehend jurisprudence intricately and discern the outcomes of legal changes. Despite historical contradictions, American jurisprudence has consistently embraced the ideals of equality and equity. However, reactive reforms to global and social issues often neglect, whether intentionally or unintentionally, the critical step of anticipating unintended consequences.
This presentation advocates for a more comprehensive and intersectional approach to legal reform, one guided by informed and attentive attorneys. Such an approach aligns more closely with the evolving interests of social justice advocates whose concerns extend beyond singular issues. This discussion will outline a methodological approach, Animal Socioequality, to legal reform that attorneys can adopt, prioritizing the reduction of disparities and inequalities while effectively realizing the specific goals of reforming undesirable social conditions.
