About this event
This training is ideal for those who advocate on behalf of nonhuman animals to friends, family, and strangers. In this training you will learn:
- How to avoid debates and arguments
- How to reduce defensiveness in others
- How to manage other peopleโs egos
- How to help people explore their values (what questions to ask)
- How to help people align their actions with their values
The training will be approximately 2 hours followed by a Q and A session.

Proven to be the most effective way to inspire behaviour change in others, the skills taught in this training will increase the percentage of people who go vegan, or take steps toward going vegan, after speaking with you.

James is a Director and Cofounder of We The Free, a vegan advocacy organization that specialises in street outreach and online activism. He has used a coaching style of communication in his professional career to achieve outstanding results leading teams of hundreds of people, and since using these transferable skills in vegan advocacy has seen huge increases in the effectiveness of his advocacy. James has been facilitating vegan outreach workshops for the past 2 years, as well as attending hundreds of street outreach events, vigils, investigations, and various other forms of activism.
Sash, originally from Kazakhstan and now based in the UK, developed a passion for diverse perspectives from his upbringing in a household with politically, religiously, culturally, and linguistically contrasting backgrounds. With degrees in Psychology, Arts, and Politics, he brings a versatile skill set and a particular interest in psychodynamicsโthe study of human behavior and motivations. As an Advocacy Ambassador at We The Free and Our Planet Theirs Too (NARD), Sash prioritizes professionalism and growth within the movement, emphasizing unity through partnerships. He advocates for non-violent communication, aiming to evoke compassion by appealing to shared values.
