About this event

The price for this class includes TWO people. We are excited to offer this new monthly series. Grab a date or friend and come ready for a good time! Learn new techniques and experience delicious flavors as you create and enjoy a multi-course meal from scratch. After you are done cooking, you will move up to the dining area and enjoy your meal with a glass of wine (included in the price) with your cooking partner and soon-to-be new friends. As our first-in-the-series, we are going to do a “Classic Vegas Steakhouse” class, where you will be learning to make the following dishes with Chef Nico: Shrimp Cocktail – In 1959 Italo Ghelfi introduced the 50-cent shrimp cocktail in Las Vegas at the Golden Gate Hotel as a promotion. The dish was an immediate success and drew large crowds from everywhere, leading the Golden Gate to keep it as a permanent feature of the resort. People from all over the world were interested in the Las Vegas shrimp cocktail because it was simple, easy to get, and unique to Vegas. So, in classic tradition, you will be recreating a vegan shrimp cocktail and making a delicious cocktail sauce. Steak alla Sinatra – In 1950, Pasquale “Patsy” D’Amore opened Villa Capri in Hollywood. It was the celebrity hangout, but the big star of the Villa Capri was Frank Sinatra. With the Capitol Records building only a few blocks away, Frank practically used the restaurant as his clubhouse, dining there often and throwing lavish parties. At the time, Chef Johnny Costa was a sous chef at the restaurant and was befriended by Sinatra who enjoyed how he prepared his favorite steak dish which later became known as “Steak Sinatra”. This dish includes steak, onion, bell pepper, tomato, mushrooms, artichokes and burgundy wine. Enjoy the crooning of Ol’ Blue Eyes while recreating and veganizing this dish with a Juicy Marbles filet. Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes – No steak dish is complete without a potato dish. Chef Nico will guide you through creating this flavorful dish packed with comforting creamy, cheesy and garlicky deliciousness. This class is limited to eight ( couples (16 people) so make sure to sign up soon! **This is a hands-on class. Each person will have their own station to learn alongside with Chef Nico. An electronic recipe & instruction card is emailed to you within 72-hours after the conclusion of the class.**
