We are most grateful for your donations) The Compassion Consortium Service on Sunday, December 17, 2023, will feature our Special Spiritual Guest, Dr. Clair Linzey and Our Compassion in Action guest Miyoko Schinner. Dr. Clair Linzey is the deputy director of the Ferrater Mora Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics and the director of the annual Oxford Animal Ethics Summer School. She is also the Frances Power Cobbe Professor of Animal Theology at the Graduate Theological Foundation and Research Fellow in Animal Ethics at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University. She earned a master's in theology then a doctorate in theology from the University of St Andrews, as well as an additional master’s from Harvard Divinity School. Our Compassion in Action guest on December 17 is the legendary Mikoyo Schinner: undisputed Vegan cheese whisperer, creator of Miyoko's Kitchen (later Miyoko's Creamery), author, singer and director of Rancho Compasion Animal Sanctuary. She famously beat the state of California in a 2021 lawsuit about whether or not Vegan cheese could be called cheese.
