About this event
Many Voices. One Mission. Health For All. Plant Powered Metro New York is leading a movement for health, empowering people across the region with the knowledge, tools, and support to feel great and prevent and treat chronic disease. Our third annual Plantathon celebration raises essential funds for our mission through 10 inspiring events taking place between November 13-28! Plantathon 2023 culminates on Giving Tuesday , when we’ll gather in the Garment District over a festive meal catered by Plant Candy and f eature the incredible story of Chuck Carroll , host of The Exam Room podcast presented by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. As the “Weight Loss Champion,” Chuck lost 265 pounds through bariatric surgery and then learned how to reset his relationship with food after years of addiction by embracing a plant-powered lifestyle. Get the story straight from Chuck and then participate in a lively Q&A moderated by Jessica Krant, MD, PPMNY Medical Advisor. When you register for this or any other Plantathon event, or make a general donation, you’ll be entered to win great prizes to support your healthy lifestyle! Prize sponsors include Vitamix , Burlap & Barrel , and Forks Over Knives . Winners will be drawn at our final event on November 28th. And every donation made through the end of the year will be matched — up to $100,000 — thanks to a generous anonymous donor! Please register by Sunday, November 26! This event has limited space, so please sign up early.
