About this event Come join the Charlottesville Humane League team for food and drinks at Bar Botanical! If you’re interested in learning more about the Humane League, getting involved with animal advocacy, or if you’re simply interested in chatting with local animal lovers, this event is for you!! About the Charlottesville Humane League team: The Humane League (THL) is an international nonprofit organization that exists to end the abuse of animals raised for food by influencing the policies of the world’s biggest companies, demanding legislation, and empowering others to take action and leave animals off their plates. This local team was established in July 2023, and in just 3 months, we have contributed to many victories at the Humane League (THL)! Most recently, our efforts aided the success of a major campaign, which resulted in Jollibee - the largest and fastest-growing Asian restaurant company in the world - to pledge to a 100 % cage free egg commitment!! We have also played a major part in expanding national awareness to animal cruelty at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse.
