NARN Educational Speaker Series - Dr. David Bain

This month's speaker series will feature Dr. David Bain, who is an Orca biologist and VP of the Orca Conservancy! Dr. Bain will talk about the connections between inland activities by humans and the effects of these activities on marine mammals. He will speak on how to take an ecosystem-approach to conservation of marine mammals, which will cover both how people can take individual action to protect marine life, as well as a need to reform harmful practices on a systemic level, such as CAFOs, dams, and hatcheries. Come learn about how we impact marine life, what we can do to change our daily habits, and how we can influence larger change for the benefit of Orcas and other marine ecosystems.
