About this event
It's tough enough being an animal advocate who gets opposition from the majority of the world, but it becomes almost unbearable when you also have to deal with infighting among fellow animal advocates.
Not only does infighting between individuals and groups within the animal protection movement damage morale and significantly drain our precious time and energy, it leaves advocates feeling unsafe to participate fully.
Renowned psychologist (and AJAer favourite) Dr. Melanie Joy has been doing a deep-dive into this topic in the past couple of years for the writing of her brand new book "How to End Injustice Everywhere", and she'll be doing a talk about it in this Animal Justice Academy live online event.
Melanie's talk will be a wake-up call about the deep damage in-fighting is causing in our movement, where the roots of it lie, and how to start healing it.
She'll give very tangible steps for preventing and managing infighting so we can retain more activists, make our organizations and initiatives more impactful, and create a movement that walks its talk in terms of compassion and peace.
