International Cage-Free Equity Index Webinar

Next week, Mercy For Animals and 15 partner organizations will launch the 2023 International Cage-Free Equity Index (ICEI) on September 26th. ICEI categorizes 39 major restaurants, food manufacturers, and retailers according to the global equity or inequity of their cage-free egg commitments, as well as transparency about progress toward fulfilling these commitments. On September 27th at 5 p.m. CEST/11 a.m. EDT/8 a.m. PDT, we will host a webinar for ICEI's launch. The webinar will feature several of Mercy For Animals' partner organizations—particularly, Education for Africa Animal Welfare, Planet For All, Vegetarianos Hoy, Plataforma ALTO, Utunzi Animal Welfare, and Animal Friends Jogja. The webinar will include discussion on how the cage-free egg movement is playing out in different regions around the world and how companies rank in the 2023 ICEI.
