About this event

Join us from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, in front of the White House, to “Beat the Drum” for breast cancer prevention during this Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Gather in Lafayette Square near the statue at 11:45 a.m. (This is the park on the north side of the White House, bordered by H St.) The closest Metro stations are Farragut West and McPherson Square, on the Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines, and Farragut North on the Red Line. Parking garages are available nearby. Parking spaces can be reserved in advance on LAZ Parking, Spot Hero, or Parking.com. The event’s message is simple: Eating a plant-based diet can be powerful preventive medicine for breast cancer.
