Hey Vegans and Vegan-Curious Folks! Come on down to Newberg and tour the beautiful Wildwood Farm Sanctuary and Preserve. A bit about Wildwood: Wildwood is a non-profit haven for farmed animals and native wildlife alike. They provide lifelong refuge and rehabilitation for abused and abandoned farmed animals while lovingly protecting the property’s native plants, wetlands, woodlands, and wild animals. Through their mission and the lives of their beloved residents in this special place, they aspire to inspire! Their greatest hope is to help open eyes and reshape the way humans view and treat farmed animals by choosing a compassionate and cruelty-free way of living. The tour: 1:30pm, $20 per person We'll have a guided tour of Wildwood, including meeting and socializing with the resident animals, hearing their stories and learning the history of this lovely farm sanctuary. Wildwood will provide vegan snacks. The cost is a required $20 donation (per person) that goes entirely to Wildwood. Please Venmo me $20 before 9/24 in order to secure your spot. (You can find me on Venmo: @Britt-Gery) What to wear and bring: - closed-toed shoes - clothes appropriate for a farm and a hat - water *Please note, out of respect for the mission and purpose of this farm sanctuary, absolutely no animal products of any kind are permitted on the property, (i.e. food or snacks containing animal products such as dairy, eggs, or animal flesh, clothing containing leather or wool, etc.) Thank you! How to get there: - Newberg is about 45 minutes from Portland, depending. - Feel free to use the comments to arrange for carpooling. - There is plenty of parking at the farm. Optional Food and Drinks Post-tour: We may see who is interested in meeting at a vegan restaurant or bar with food afterwards.
