Forest Park Hike - Lower Macleay Park

Hello vegans! Let's hike Lower Macleay Park. This trail is an out-and-back trail with moderate elevation gain that goes past the Witches Castle and up to Pittock Mansion where there are spectacular views of Portland. We'll play it by ear as to whether we want to hike all the way up (a total of 5 miles to hike up and back) or turn around before then. There are restrooms nearby. Dogs on leash are welcome however there tend to be a fair amount of folks and dogs on this trail so only bring your dog if he/she is comfortable encountering other dogs on leash. Bring water and snacks. We may decide to meet at a vegan restaurant or bar that serves food after the hike - TBD. Please keep your RSVP accurate so we don't leave anyone behind who is late but don't want to wait for someone who's not coming. Happy Trails!
