Join us at the Sonoma Rescue Trial to support animals being rescued from harm and the activists who rescue them! Three activists, Cassie King, Priya Sawhney, and Wayne Hsiung, are facing felony and/or misdemeanor charges for nonviolent actions at two factory farms in Sonoma County: Sunrise Farms in 2018 and Reichardt Duck Farm in 2019. This is our biggest trial yet because it involves multiple mass actions where more than a hundred activists were arrested and 70 animals were rescued. The trial will have significant implications on the #RightToRescue, and activists will seek some measure of justice for the untold numbers of animals subjected to cruelty whose cries have been ignored by Sonoma County authorities.
The trial is scheduled to start September 8th, 9am at the Sonoma County Superior Court (600 Administration Dr, Santa Rosa). It is expected to last 2 weeks.
***If you plan on attending any part of the convergence, please register (free) at dxe.io/SonomaTrial so we can keep you in the loop with all details, e.g. housing, schedule of events, court updates.***
