About this event

Are you passionate about creating a more just, sustainable food system? Do you want to learn institutional and political advocacy skills, gain hands-on professional experience, and become a part of a community of caring activists? If so apply to Factory Farming Awareness Coalition's Summer 2023 Advocacy Institute! The Advocacy Institute is an 8-week, fully funded, immersive educational fellowship for high school and college students from June to August. Students in the Advocacy Institute will gain critical advocacy skills, discover career pathways that will address the impacts of factory farming, connect with like-minded students from around the world, and examine our food system’s impact on climate change, social justice, public health, and more. This Advocacy Institute is a remote opportunity that will include limited in-person events in FFAC’s U.S. regions. We provide college fellows with a $200 reimbursement for Internet and phone costs, and applicants are welcome to apply for needs-based scholarships. Students can also earn academic credit! Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until the program is full—students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
