AAM: Ending Speciesism ~ The history, future & power of the Animal Rights Movement

This program, with lawyer and author Jim Mason, is based on his classic expose, "An Unnatural Order: The Roots of our Destruction of Nature." His book explores the cruelty of mechanized animal farming and slaughter. Animals are more important than we think. And have been significantly influential during human evolution. Once we can understand how important other animals were to the development of our minds and culture, we can understand how their enslavement (domestication) drastically changed the way we see the living world and our place in it. And not for the better... In this workshop, Jim Mason will explore the roots of "Dominionism" and "Human Supremacy" and his views on the Animal Rights movement past, present and future as an activist for over 40 years.
