May Potluck and talk on Denver ballot initiatives!

Join us for great food and conversation with your fellow vegans at our monthly potluck! For those who are new to veganism, welcome! Our monthly gathering is a great opportunity to get to know others in the group and sample lots of delicious vegan food. This month our special guest is Aidan Kankyoku of Pro Animal Future! Pro-Animal Future, a new animal advocacy organization, has introduced two historic ballot measures in Denver. One would ban fur sales, and the other would close slaughterhouses in the city. We'll hear from Aidan about the larger context of why these measures are important and how everyone in the Denver vegan community can plug in to ensure we win. Aidan is a researcher with Pax Fauna, an organization developing new strategies for grassroots animal advocacy. What to Bring: • A vegan dish to serve at least 8 people, with a recipe card or list of ingredients. (All vegan please: no meat, bacon, eggs, poultry, fish, dairy or honey). If you do not know what to bring, please contact Denver Vegans leadership. • Your own utensils and reusable place setting • $3.00 cash fee to help pay for our rental space.
