About this event
One way CreatureKind advances our mission towards collective liberation — for animals, peoples, and the earth — is by writing liturgy inclusive of the whole of God’s Creation, with a special focus on animals who are farmed for food. Our hope is that others can gather inspiration from the liturgy to bring and adapt in their own communities of faith. Whether you are writing for a church service, a community newsletter, a small group, a class, or for yourself, your words and experiences are important. Writing about the liberation of animals with an interconnected lens helps us move toward a kin-dom where we can all flourish as beloved children of God.
We invite you to join CreatureKind for a Writing Workshop this Wednesday, May 17th, at 12:00 pm ET/1:00 pm BRT/6:00 pm BST. We will have a presentation on writing liturgy that centers justice and liberation for animals followed by time for q&a, sharing resources, and writing. This is a 60 minute workshop. All are welcome!
Feel free to join with your camera on or off, with whatever participation you are most comfortable. Part of this program will be recorded for sharing in CreatureKind’s communications and social media platforms.
If you have an accessibility need in order to participate in this workshop, please let us know by emailing megan@becreaturekind.org. CreatureKind welcomes, affirms, and encourages BIPOC folks, GNC folks, LGBTQIA+ folks to join us.
