Beaver County Free Speech Court Support

In July of 2022, activists with UARC and Direct Action Everywhere (DXE) conducted an outreach event to talk with locals, gather petition signatures, and raise awareness about the upcoming #SmithfieldTrial . One activist was cited with disorderly conduct and trespass for doing nothing more than having conversations with passerby's. The incident has since went viral with a YouTube amassing 2.6 million views. The incident was also covered by KSL, Fox 13, and the Salt Lake Tribune. We are mobilizing around this court case to elevate the egregious first amendment violations by Beaver officials. The trial is scheduled for one day at the Beaver County Justice Court.
