About this event

For April's speaker, we are honored to feature Dr. Kriss Kevorkian, founder of Legal Rights for the Salish Sea and a Grieving World. Kriss has a master's in social work and a doctoral degree in thanatology. For her dissertation, she researched the decline of the Southern Resident Orcas for her work on environmental grief. Kriss also is spearheading the ongoing Rights of Nature (see post on event to learn more) campaign working to declare the inherent rights of the Southern Resident Orcas throughout the Pacific Northwest. Join us and learn how to get involved with this groundbreaking work, as well as learn more about ecological grief and the importance of selfcare to prevent vicarious trauma, burnout and compassion fatigue. This month's speaker event will be virtual. Registration is required. Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/.../tZwsdOCvrDIuEtR2...
