Portland, OR: Drop the Vegan Milk Surcharge Starbucks DAY OF ACTION

Join PETA and Animal Rights Collective Portland (ARCPDX) on this important multicity day of action against Starbucks! Enough is enough! It's time that Starbucks finally drop the vegan milk surcharge! We will be holding signs, educating the public on this issue, and encouraging passersby to text STARBUCKS to 73822 and email the new CEO asking them to drop the vegan milk surcharge. Starbucks admits that cow’s milk is its biggest source of carbon dioxide emissions, yet it’s still charging up to 80 cents more for lattes made with oat, soy, coconut, or almond milk rather than cow's milk. If Starbucks truly wants to "invest in people and the planet" it will stop charging extra for the planet and animal-friendly vegan milks! Panera, Tim Hortons, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Noah's New York Bagels, Philz Coffee, and Costa Coffee already offer vegan milk at no extra charge, but Starbucks still tacks an extra fee on drinks made with plant milks.
