Overhauling EU Farm Animal Welfare Laws Conference + We Animals Media Photography Exhibit

The European Commission has embarked on revising the EU’s animal welfare legislation. The proposals will focus on bettering the animal welfare requirements on farms and during transport and slaughter. On March 28, the ‘Overhauling EU Farm Animal Welfare Laws’ conference will provide a forum for discussion for representatives of the EU institutions, civil society, and other stakeholders regarding the need to align EU laws with the latest science and move away from cruel practices prevalent in animal agriculture. We Animals Media founder Jo-Anne McArthur will attend to speak about her decades in the field as a photojournalist documenting farmed animals. Additionally, there will be a We Animals Media photography exhibit showcasing farmed animal stories from throughout the EU.
