About this event
Whenever there's potential for police interaction, it's a good idea to have a designated and trained police liaison at your event. And it's even better to have as many people in your activism circle armed with this knowledge, so join us for this FREE training with long-time activist and police liaison trainer, Noah Bristol.
Though the content will be geared towards city organizers of the International Vegan Earth Day March happening on April 22nd, this training is open to any activist interested in filling the role of police liaison at protests, marches, disruptions, and more.
**The police liaison acts as a “go-between” between the organizers and people participating in an action and the police to ensure clear communication of demands, expectations, needs, responses, etc.
This training will include:
1. Best practices for communicating and interacting with the police.
2. How to protect yourself and the attending activists from legal consequences.
3. Briefing other activists on police interaction.
4. Using your position to give the organizers time to accomplish the goal(s) of the event.
