About this event
Tune in to our Change Makers livestream to hear from people in the NY metro
area who are making a difference with plants! Hosted by Jim Spellos, PPMNY
Technology & Events Specialist, you’ll meet people creating healthy waves
of change in the movement. From community organizers to chefs, it’s a
chance to hear lessons they’ve learned and take away inspiration for your
journey to better health.
This month we'll catch up with Lilian M. Correa, RD, MPH, CDN, DipACLM, who
serves as the Director of Education and Training at NYC Health + Hospitals'
Office of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine, and the registered dietitian
for Bellevue Hospital’s Plant-Based Lifestyle Medicine Program. Lily holds
a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Nutrition from Loma
Linda University. She worked as a dietitian and bilingual health educator
in the Preventative Medicine department at Kaiser Permanente in California
before pursuing health-supportive culinary arts studies at the Natural
Gourmet Institute in New York City. She is also a Diplomate of the American
College of Lifestyle Medicine. Lily is passionate about plant-based
nutrition and firmly believes that the kitchen is the greatest tool from
which to promote optimal health and wellness.
