About this event

Join the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in urging the University of Colorado (CU) to stop using animals for medical training. At CU’s Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, general surgery residents are instructed to cut open and kill pigs to practice invasive procedures. Meanwhile, 76% of surveyed U.S. surgery residencies (205 of 262) use ONLY nonanimal training methods. We're bringing this issue to CU’s Office of the President in Denver -- because Colorado Deserves Better! WHERE: Please meet us outside of the CU Foundation building, on the sidewalk along Grant St. not far from where it intersects with E 18th Ave. Signs will be provided! This event will be held rain or shine. Please use nearby public parking. We hope to see you at the demonstration! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Christine at CKauffman@PCRM.org.
