About this event
Join the CreatureKind community for a panel discussion on the liberative approaches to setting our tables. We’ll give a brief presentation on our plant-based program, DefaultVeg, and hear from panelists with a variety of experiences implementing CreatureKind values into their meals, faith traditions, and local community; and how this can have a direct impact on the wellbeing of animals farmed for food.DefaultVeg is designed to meet people where they are, while accounting for accessibility issues, food insecurity, and harmful power structures that are designed to protect corporations over God’s beloved creatures. We’ll discuss this long-term approach in shifting the church culture towards a more peaceable kin-dom for animals, peoples, and the earth. Whether you are a long-term vegan, just starting out with a meatless day, or learning to source the animal products you consume regularly from the highest welfare source, you are an important part of this community and our work for the welfare of animals farmed for food. We want to hear from you and welcome your participation. We will have time for a 20 minute Q&A after the panel discussion. If you have questions beforehand about DefaultVeg or eating according to CreatureKind values, you may submit them below, or the day of the event. Feel free to join us with your camera on or off, in whatever ways you feel most comfortable. This is an open space for gathering in community, listening, and learning. We do ask that you keep yourself on mute during the presentation unless directed to unmute. This panel will be recorded for sharing in CreatureKind’s communications and social media platforms. In addition, the event will be live broadcasted on Facebook.
