About this event

\- What could be reasons to discount animal issues/why would you not prioritize them? \- Do you believe in moral/attitudinal change for the animals, or should we expect more from technological alternatives? \- What interventions do you believe in the most? \- What do you feel are some of the most impactful organizations in this field? In this talk, Tobias Leenaert takes a closer look at the issue of animal welfare in our society and explains why, from an ‘importance - neglectedness - tractability’ framework, it is one of the most important moral issues of our time. We also take a brief overview of what exactly should or could be done to speed up solving this problem. Tobias Leenaert is the author of How to Create a Vegan World: a Pragmatic Approach, which has been translated into 12 languages. He is a longtime speaker and strategist, giving talks and trainings all over the world. He is also co-founder of ProVeg International and the founder of the Belgian vegan organization EVA. Tobias is keen on thinking out of the box, building bridges between different groups, and thinking slowly. A vegan for over twenty years, Tobias lives in Belgium, with his partner and many rescued animals.
