Effective communications Skills are essential when conveying a vegan message and advocating for animals. And practical coping tools are important for managing stress, burnout, and fatigue as activists. This workshop covers, *Basics of powerful communication *Active Listening Skills *Nonviolent Communication (NVC) *The nature of compassion fatigue, secondary trauma and the unique stress experienced by activists *Tools for managing stress such as mindfulness, meditation, breathwork & more Alaina Sigler (she/her) is a certified Animal Chaplain, to be Ordained in June of 2023, and brings unique skill sets with over a decade of experience working with children and teenagers of all abilities. Alaina's desire to become an Animal Chaplain student stemmed from a vision to companion human and other-than-human individuals experiencing grief and other emotions and connections to permaculture design. She has been supporting efforts for Total Liberation through grassroots organizing, resident care at farmed animal sanctuaries, permaculture project implementation, vegan food justice efforts, and more for close to a decade.
